Model Release policy.

Every portrait shared and sold through The People Archives has been taken with the full, informed consent of the person or their guardian.

Before taking photographs, we explain:

  • What the images will be used for

  • How profits from sales will be distributed

  • That the subject or their chosen NGO will receive a share of sales

  • That images may be used online, in exhibitions, or in fundraising campaigns

All subjects (or guardians) sign a one-page release form in a language they understand, and copies are stored securely. If a subject or NGO ever wants to remove an image, we will honour that request.

This ensures that no one is misrepresented or left behind — and that every photo tells a story with dignity, respect, and consent.
